Acceptable Use Policy
Effective date: July 3, 2026. These are the rules of conduct for everyone who uses Closers: what the Platform is for, what is not allowed, and how we enforce it.
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your conduct on Closers (“the Platform”) and is part of, and incorporated by reference into, our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms have the meaning given in the Terms. By using the Platform, you agree to this AUP. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
To report a violation, contact legal@closersgolf.com.
Permitted Use
Closers exists for a specific purpose: to introduce business professionals (“Clients”) to vetted professional and elite-amateur golfers (“Golfers”) and to facilitate booking golf engagements (client rounds, corporate outings, member-guests, scrambles, and playing lessons) as described on the Platform.
You may use the Platform only for these purposes, in a lawful manner, and in compliance with the Terms, this AUP, and all applicable law. Any use outside this purpose is prohibited.
Prohibited Conduct
You must not, and must not attempt to, do any of the following:
- Misrepresentation. misrepresent your identity, credentials, tour or collegiate history, handicap, licensing, or affiliation, or impersonate any person or entity.
- Fake or manipulated reviews. submit fake, incentivized, coerced, retaliatory, or fraudulent reviews or ratings, or solicit or buy reviews.
- Harassment and discrimination. harass, bully, threaten, stalk, defame, or intimidate anyone, or discriminate against or harass any person on the basis of race, color, national origin, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, medical condition, marital status, veteran or military status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
- Off-platform circumvention. solicit, arrange, or accept an engagement sourced through Closers off the Platform to avoid fees, evade the Terms, or circumvent the Platform’s protections.
- Gambling facilitation. use the Platform to offer, arrange, advertise, or settle betting, wagering, or money games. Any private wager is strictly between the users who arrange it and is not a Platform feature.
- Unrelated solicitation and spam. solicit goods, services, investments, or opportunities unrelated to a golf engagement, or send spam, chain messages, or other unsolicited bulk communications.
- Scraping and automation. use bots, scrapers, crawlers, or other automated means to access, copy, or collect data from the Platform without our prior written consent, or place unreasonable load on our systems.
- Security probing and interference. probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Platform; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or data; circumvent security or authentication; or introduce malware or otherwise interfere with the Platform’s operation.
- Intellectual-property infringement. infringe or misappropriate any copyright, trademark, trade secret, or other intellectual-property or proprietary right, or post content you do not have the right to post.
- Unlawful purpose. use the Platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive purpose, or in violation of any applicable local, state, or federal law.
Golfer-Specific Obligations
If you use the Platform as a Golfer, you additionally agree to:
- keep your credentials, biography, rates, and availability accurate and current;
- promptly disclose to Closers any material change to your standing, for example a change in amateur status, loss of a tour card, or a change in eligibility;
- take sole responsibility for the effect of paid engagements on your amateur status (USGA/R&A), collegiate eligibility (NCAA and similar), tour and club rules, and any licensing or tax obligation, as described in the Terms;
- upload only photographs that depict you or people who have consented, and honor the requests and reasonable expectations you accept;
- conduct yourself professionally and as a proper guest under host-club rules.
Client-Specific Obligations
If you use the Platform as a Client, you additionally agree to:
- provide accurate booking details: date, course, occasion, group size, and notes;
- arrange required course access and guest sponsorship, and cover green fees and course charges unless you and the Golfer agree otherwise;
- conduct yourself safely and lawfully on the course, including responsible cart operation and responsible decisions regarding alcohol;
- comply with the host club’s rules, guest policies, and dress code;
- treat Golfers and others with respect and refrain from any prohibited conduct above.
Enforcement
We enforce this AUP in the way we judge appropriate to the conduct and its severity. Depending on the circumstances, our response may escalate along the following ladder, and we may skip steps for serious violations:
- Warning. a notice identifying the conduct and requesting that it stop or be corrected, which may include removing offending content.
- Suspension. temporary suspension of your account or specific features while we investigate or pending correction.
- Termination. permanent termination of your account and removal of your listings, with or without notice, for serious or repeated violations.
- Legal referral. referral to law enforcement or other authorities, and pursuit of any remedy available to us, where conduct is unlawful or causes harm.
Nothing here limits the suspension and termination rights in the Terms of Service, which may be exercised with or without cause.
Reporting a Violation
If you encounter conduct that violates this AUP, such as a fake profile, a manipulated review, harassment, an attempt to move a booking off-platform, or anything unsafe or unlawful, report it to legal@closersgolf.com with enough detail for us to investigate (who, what, when, and any relevant booking or profile). We review reports and act as we judge appropriate. Where safety is at immediate risk, contact local emergency services first.
