Cookie Policy

Closers sets exactly one category of cookies: authentication session cookies managed by Neon Auth. These are set when you sign in and cleared when you sign out (or when the session expires).

These cookies have the following characteristics:

• First-party only. They are set by Closers’s own domain, not by any third party.
• HTTP-only. JavaScript running in your browser cannot read them. This protects against cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
• Secure. They are transmitted only over HTTPS.
• Session-scoped or short-lived. Neon Auth issues session tokens that expire automatically and are not retained beyond their intended lifetime.

These are strictly necessary cookies. Without them, authenticated features (managing your profile, viewing bookings, sending booking requests) cannot function. No consent banner is required for strictly necessary cookies under applicable law.

As of the effective date of this policy, Closers does not use:

• analytics or tracking cookies (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel);
• advertising or retargeting cookies;
• third-party social media cookies;
• cross-site tracking pixels or fingerprinting scripts;
• any cookie whose purpose is to build a profile of your behavior across websites.

We do not sell, share, or monetize data derived from cookies. The only data stored in our cookies is what is necessary to maintain your authenticated session.

If Closers ever introduces non-essential cookies, for example to measure which features are most used or to show relevant content, we will:

• update this Cookie Policy with a new effective date before deploying any such cookies;
• notify registered users via the email address on file;
• present a consent mechanism that meets applicable legal requirements before setting any non-essential cookie;
• give you a genuine choice to opt out without losing access to core platform features.

We will not retroactively justify non-essential cookies under a “legitimate interest” basis. If we want to set them, we will ask first.

All modern browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies through their settings. If you block or delete Closers’s session cookies, you will be signed out and will need to sign in again to access authenticated features. No other functionality is affected.

Because we only set strictly necessary cookies, blocking Closers’s cookies will not affect your experience on any other website.

Closers uses Neon as its authentication and database provider. Neon Auth is responsible for issuing and validating the session tokens stored in our cookies. We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Revised versions will be posted with an updated effective date. If the changes are material, for example if we add non-essential cookies, we will notify registered users via email before the changes take effect.
